How about a little navigation reminder!

Navigation aids mark the edges of safe water
way areas. Colors &  numbers have the same
meaning regardless of the kind of buoy
or marker which its displayed.
Green Colors | Green Lights

These mark the edge of the channel on your port or left side as you enter from the open sea or heading upstream. Green markers display odd numbers which usually increases consecutively.

Red Colors | Red Lights

These mark the edge of the channel on your starboard or right side as you enter from the open sea or heading upstream. Red markers display even numbers which usually increases consecutively.
"Red Right Returning!"

Green & Red | Color & Lights

These markers are junction buoys which indicate the preferred or primary channel to navigate when the channel splits. Green on-top shows preferred channel is to the right or starboard side but the left side is also navigable.
