Seattle Yachts Appointed as Exclusive Dealer for
DeFever Yachts for the Pacific Northwest - Press Release

SEATTLE – May 13, 2015 – Seattle Yachts, one of Seattle’s premier boat
brokerages, is proud to announce it has been appointed the exclusive dealer
of DeFever Motor Yachts for Washington, Oregon, Alaska and British Columbia,
Canada. The brokerage will sell the entire line that ranges from 45' to 70' and
has ordered a 2016 52' Euro that will make its Pacific NW debut at the
September Lake Union Boats Afloat Show.

Beloved for their traditional lines and sturdy construction, DeFever vessels
are known worldwide — and are owned by everyday cruisers and royalty alike.
The late world-renowned naval architect Arthur DeFever is often credited for
introducing the concept of trawler-type yachts for pleasure cruising. Aside from
his many commercial designs, his accomplishments include the Grand Banks
Alaskan models back in the 1960's to the current DeFever yachts products built
by POCTA. (Pacific Ocean Countries Trading Association)

POCTA has produced more DeFever designed vessels over a longer period
of time than any other builder. POCTA builds exclusively DeFever Yachts and
not a variety of sub contracted boat designs as is often the case with Asian boat builders. POCTA's shipyard is one of the largest boat building facilities in mainland China, complete with fully enclosed building arenas and a test tank, where each vessel is launched and checked before shipment. More than one hundred experienced craftsmen and engineers combine their skills to produce each distinctive DeFever Yacht.

About the DeFever 52 Euro

With a 16’ beam, the 52 Euro offers a roomy and welcoming
main deck and generously proportioned below deck
accommodations. The 52 has two staterooms with two heads
that can be accessed through either stairs from the pilothouse
or stairs from the galley – a convenience and safety feature
of the 52 design. The salon is bright and airy with an open
floor plan that gives owners the freedom to arrange their
selected furniture and entertainment components, or to design
built-ins to suit their needs. A standard layout is offered for the
galley, but it may be configured to accept additional or optional appliances.

The pilothouse, Portuguese bridge and molded Euro transom with swim platform are trademark DeFever designs. Visibility is excellent ahead and abeam. Access to port and starboard side decks and the flybridge is provided, while spiral stairs lead to accommodations below. The expansive flybridge can accommodate a large dinghy with davit. A raised L-shaped settee with abundant storage below, cocktail table, and wet bar with icemaker are positioned near the helm station, with space available for two helm seats. The large aft deck, with spacious lazarette and engine room access, may be enclosed to provide even more relaxing living space in inclement weather.
